ANTHONY GORDON will make his second start as a Newcastle United player when the Magpies travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa this afternoon.
Despite being chastised for his late-match strop when he was substituted at Brentford last weekend, Gordon has been promoted Newcastle's starting side in the Midlands.
He replaces Sean Longstaff, who drops down to the bench, and is expected to line up on the left of Newcastle's front three.
That will mean Joelinton dropping back into a midfield position, where he is expected to play alongside Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock.
Alexander Isak retains his place in attack, with Callum Wilson once again finding himself on the substitutes' bench.
ASTON VILLA (4-4-2): Martinez; Young, Konsa, Mings, Moreno; Ramsey, McGinn, Luiz, Dendoncker; Watkins, Buendia.
Subs: Olsen, Sinisalo, Chambers, Revan, Carlos, Digne, Patterson, Duran, Traore.
NEWCASTLE (4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Willock, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon.
Subs: Dubravka, Lascelles, Wilson, Ritchie, targett, Manquillo, Almiron, Anderson, Longstaff.
