7 Steffen: Made a couple of good first half saves. As calm as ever on the ball.
6 Smith: Recovered well on the whole from bad night at Bristol. Solid.
6 McNair: Good early block but at fault for the goal when he was dispossessed.
7 Lenihan: Dominant defensive display.
7 Giles: Linked up well with Ramsey early on. Lucky not to concede a second half penalty.
8 Howson: Tenacious and tireless in midfield. Crunched into a couple of early challenges.
8 Hackney: Showed his versatility as he moved to the left side when Ramsey was replaced. Made a very difficult finish look easy for his goal. Brilliant display.
8 Forss: Started the move that set Boro on their way with classy back-heel. Crossed for Hackney’s brilliant second.
8 Akpom: Knitted things together, loads of classy touches and scored for the eighth consecutive home game.
7 Ramsey: The forward’s night got off to the perfect start with a goal against his former club. Had the beating of right-back Aarons but forced off with ankle problem early on.
9 Archer: Two goals taking his tally to eight in his last 12. And two assists as well. A brilliant centre-forward display.
