Middlesbrough return to action when they take on Norwich City in the Championship on Friday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having come from two goals to claim a point at Ashton Gate on Monday, Middlesbrough return to home soil as they host Norwich City at the Riverside.

The two sides met in the reverse fixture at Carrow Road back in mid-November, with second-half goals from Riley McGree and Matt Crooks securing Boro a 2-1 win.

Norwich have enjoyed a fair bit of recent success on Teesside, with all three of the Canaries’ last three visits to the Riverside having resulted in a 1-0 away win. Boro’s last home success over Norwich came back in November 2014, when a Grant Leadbitter double, and further goals from Patrick Bamford and Yanic Wildschut secured a 4-0 success.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Friday’s game kicks off at 8pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

Yes – tickets for the home sections of the Riverside are still available via the ticketing section of Middlesbrough’s official website.

Adult tickets for Friday’s game start at £30, with Over-65s priced at £22 and Under-18s from £18.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Yes, Friday’s game is being televised live on Sky TV. The game will be broadcast on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football channels.

With the game being broadcast live, there will be no domestic streaming in the UK.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Tees and talkSPORT 2, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson and Dominic Shaw will be at the Riverside providing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo’s website.

WHAT IS MIDDLESBROUGH’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Boro’s main pre-match injury doubt revolves around Dael Fry, who was forced to miss Monday’s draw with Bristol City because of a combination of injury issues.

Fry injured his ankle in the closing stages of the win over Preston that preceded the international break, and has also been struggling with an Achilles issue. As a result, he is a major doubt for Friday’s game.

Matt Crooks started in attack against Bristol City, so Boro head coach Michael Carrick will have to decide whether to keep the repositioned midfielder in the starting line-up or recall Cameron Archer, who came off the bench at Ashton Gate.

Carrick will also have to decide whether to retain Aaron Ramsey and Marcus Forss in the starting line-up, or drop one to the bench in order to recall Australian midfielder Riley McGree.

Middlesbrough (probable, 4-2-3-1): Steffen; Smith, McNair, Lenihan, Giles; Howson, Hackney; McGree, Akpom, Ramsey; Archer.

HOW ARE NORWICH SHAPING UP?

Norwich head into Friday night’s game sitting in eighth position in the Championship table, one point adrift of the play-off positions, but having played a game more than sixth-placed Blackburn Rovers.

They are stuttering at the worst possible moment, having won just one of their last six matches, and could only grind out a goalless home draw with Rotherham United in their most recent outing on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Canaries will once again be forced to field a makeshift backline at the Riverside, with first-choice centre-halves Grant Hanley and Ben Gibson both still unavailable because of injury.

Jacob Sorensen has been forced into defensive duty in recent weeks, which has led to a reshuffle further up the field, and Canaries boss David Wagner will have to decide whether to stick with an out-of-sorts Teemu Pukki in attack or recall Adam Idah, who was a second-half substitute against Rotherham.

Norwich (probable, 4-2-3-1): Gunn; Aarons, Omobamidele, Sorensen, McCallum; Sara, Gibbs; Marquinhos, Sargent, Hernandez; Pukki.
