7 Steffen: Brilliant early save to deny Weimann. Solid and calm throughout.

5 Smith: Bad night. Bell gave him the runaround. Sucked inside for the first goal and gave the ball away in build-up to second. Did provide the assist for Ramsey goal.

5 McNair: Jumped in for the first goal after Lenihan slip.

6 Lenihan: Brilliant early block to deny Cornick.

5 Giles: Boro’s best outlet going forward in the first half but caught out defensively and at fault for second goal.

6 Howson: Not one of his best games but used leadership and experience to help Boro keep calm and force their way back into the game.

5 Hackney: Fell asleep for the second goal at the back post

5 Forss: Frustrating afternoon for the forward. Struggled to make an impact in attack. Smith could have done with more defensive protection as well.

6 Akpom: No shortage of effort and tried to find pockets but struggled to get into the game.

7 Ramsey: Poor in the first half but turned the game around for Boro with goal and assist in secod half.

6 Crooks: Worked hard but the ball didn’t fall for him for the most-part – but then popped up with crucial equaliser. Good finish.
