EDDIE Howe says it's too early to know whether midfielder Joe Willock will be available for Wednesday night's game at West Ham.
Willock hobbled off in the late stages of the win over Manchester United holding his hamstring and is still being monitored by club medical staff.
I haven't seen him so I don't know," said Howe in his press conference early on Tuesday morning.
"It's too early (to know)."
There are no other injury concerns ahead of the West Ham trip, though the Newcastle squad will be closely monitored after Sunday's effort.
Howe said: "I think we're reasonably OK. I think there are a few tired bodies. It was a really big physical effort in the game but hopefully nothing too much."
Newcastle were brilliant in the victory over rivals Manchester United that lifted them to third in the league and Howe wants the same again on Wednesday night.
He said: "I think we need to deliver that.
"It's going to be a really difficult game. They're a very good team who've had a different season with Europe and all the games they've played. They've got an outstanding manager with vast experience. I think they recruited really well in the summer.
"They have a very strong squad, so we're going to need a physical performance and good technical and tactical performance."

The West Ham trip is the first of three successive away games and a double-header in the capital, with Newcastle facing Brentford on Saturday. The squad will stay in the capital between the games against West Ham and the Bees.
"We plan to stay in London and minimise our travelling to not fatigue the players," confirmed Howe.
"The three away games is an interesting dynamic. We like playing at home but our results on the road have been pretty consistent as well."
