Sunderland return to action when they take on Stoke City in the Championship on Saturday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having lost at Coventry City last weekend, Sunderland return to home soil as they host Stoke at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats have already been to the bet365 Stadium this season, recording a 1-0 win in August thanks to a goal from Ross Stewart.

This will be Sunderland’s first home game against Stoke since January 2017, when Jermain Defoe scored in a 3-1 defeat. The Black Cats’ last home win over the Potters came back in November 2015 when Patrick van Aanholt and Duncan Watmore scored in a 2-0 success.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

Yes – tickets for Saturday’s game against Stoke are still available via the ticketing section of Sunderland’s official website.

Prices start at £35 for adults, £26 for Over-65s, £22 for Under-22s and £12 for Under-16s.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

No, Saturday’s game is not being televised live. Highlights will be available on the EFL Highlights Show on ITV4 at 9pm.

With the game falling in the Saturday afternoon 3pm slot, there will be no domestic streaming in the UK via the SAFC Live stream. Supporters living out of the UK, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Russia will be able to access the game via the SAFC Live service.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Newcastle.

WHAT IS SUNDERLAND’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Dennis Cirkin missed last weekend’s defeat at Coventry, and the full-back is expected to be unavailable again as Sunderland’s medical staff continue to closely monitor his concussion status.

Lynden Gooch has been back in training for a couple of weeks now, and could come into contention for a place in the squad for Saturday’s game, although Tony Mowbray had hinted that the following weekend’s game with Norwich might be a more realistic comeback date.

Similarly, while Niall Huggins is also back in training, Mowbray will be reluctant to throw the defender straight back into action on Saturday.

Sunderland (probable, 4-2-3-1): Patterson; Hume, Ballard, Batth, Alese; Neil, Michut; Roberts, Amad, Clarke; Gelhardt.

HOW ARE STOKE SHAPING UP?

Alex Neil will make his first return to the Stadium of Light this weekend since leaving Sunderland to take over as Stoke City manager in late August.

The Potters currently sit in 17th position in the Championship table, nine points clear of the relegation zone but 14 points adrift of the play-off positions.

They were in midweek action on Tuesday evening, losing to Brighton in the fifth round of the FA Cup, and while Neil made seven changes against the Seagulls, he is likely to reverse the majority of them for Saturday’s return to league action.

Nick Powell, Emre Tezgel and Tom Edwards are long-term absentees.

Stoke (probable, 4-2-3-1): Sarkic; Sterling, Wilmot, Jagielka, Fox; Smallbone, Pearson; Brown, Laurent, Celina; Gayle.
