Newcastle United return to action when they take on Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having been at Wembley last weekend, Newcastle head back out on the road as they travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City.

This season’s home game against the reigning champions was a thriller, with Newcastle claiming a 3-3 draw on Tyneside in August thanks to goals from Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier.

The Magpies have a dreadful recent record at the Etihad, with their last three visits to the stadium having resulted in three defeats with a combined scoreline of 12-0 in Manchester City’s favour. Newcastle have never won a league game at the Etihad, with their only victory at the stadium having come in the League Cup in the 2014-15 season.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Saturday’s game kicks off at 12.30pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – Newcastle have sold out their full allocation of away tickets for Saturday’s game.

The Magpies were allocated 3,000 tickets for the match, and all have been snapped up.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Yes, Saturday’s game is being televised live by BT Sport.

With the game being broadcast live in the UK, there will be no domestic streaming.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Newcastle and talkSPORT, while The Northern Echo’s Chief Sports Writer, Scott Wilson, will be at the Etihad providing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo website.

WHAT IS NEWCASTLE’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Nick Pope is available again after missing the Carabao Cup final through suspension, and will go straight back into the starting line-up, replacing Loris Karius in goal.

Anthony Gordon is also available, having been cup-tied for Sunday’s final at Wembley, and will hope to secure a place in the starting XI.

Having been a substitute at Wembley, Joe Willock should be fit enough to be considered for a place in the side. Matt Targett was another substitute against Manchester United last weekend, and is also back in the running for a starting place after completing his recovery from injury.

Eddie Howe could opt to shuffle his pack as his side returns to league action, with Alexander Isak having made a positive impact after coming off the bench at the half-time interval of the League Cup final.

Newcastle (probable, 4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Guimaraes, Longstaff, Willock; Almiron, Isak, Gordon.

HOW ARE MANCHESTER CITY SHAPING UP?

Manchester City moved back to within two points of league leaders Arsenal last weekend – although the Gunners face Everton on Wednesday evening – and warmed up for their game against Newcastle by cruising to a 3-0 win over Bristol City in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Erling Haaland was an unused substitute at Ashton Gate, but the Premier League’s leading scorer is expected to return to Pep Guardiola’s side at the weekend.

Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker could also return to the starting side after being on the bench for the FA Cup, with Manuel Akanji, Rico Lewis and Kalvin Phillips all expected to drop out of Manchester City’s line-up.

Man City (probable, 3-2-4-1): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake; Rodri, Gundogan; Grealish, de Bruyne, Silva, Foden; Haaland.
