Newcastle United play their biggest game for decades when they take on Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having seen off Southampton in their semi-final, Newcastle are heading to Wembley for only their second-ever appearance in a League Cup final. The first came back in 1976, and saw them suffer a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.

This is Newcastle’s first appearance in a final at the ‘new Wembley, with their only two appearances at the stadium since its rebuild coming in Premier League matches against Tottenham while Spurs’ new ground was being constructed.

The Magpies’ last appearance in a Wembley final came in 1999, when they lost to a Manchester United side that would go on to win the treble in the final of the FA Cup.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Sunday’s game kicks off at 4.30pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – all tickets for the final have sold out, with Newcastle United’s allocation of 32,761 tickets for the West End of Wembley having been heavily oversubscribed.

Manchester United have also sold out their allocation for the game.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Sunday’s game is being televised live by Sky Sports, and will be broadcast on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football channels.

With the game being broadcast live, there will be no domestic streaming of the final.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Newcastle, BBC Radio Five Live and talkSPORT, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson and Dominic Shaw will be in London from Saturday covering all the build-up to the game. On matchday, they will be at Wembley to provide a live blog, report, ratings, analysis and reaction.

WHAT IS NEWCASTLE’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Bruno Guimaraes is available to return to Newcastle’s starting side after completing the three-match suspension that was incurred when he was sent off in the second leg of the semi-final win over Southampton.

However, first-choice goalkeeper Nick Pope will miss the game after he was sent off in last weekend’s defeat to Liverpool. With second-choice keeper, Martin Dubravka, cup tied after playing for Manchester United in two of the earlier rounds of the League Cup during his loan spell at Old Trafford, Loris Karius will make his Newcastle debut in the Wembley final.

The Magpies’ main pre-match injury doubt revolves around Joe Willock, with the midfielder still struggling with the hamstring injury he suffered against Bournemouth. Eddie Howe is hoping Willock will recover in time for the game.

Matt Targett could return to the squad after completing his own recovery from injury, although Dan Burn’s form at left-back means he is only likely to be on the bench at best.

Newcastle (probable, 4-3-3): Karius; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Guimaraes, Longstaff, Willock; Almiron, Wilson, Joelinton.

HOW ARE MANCHESTER UNITED SHAPING UP?

Manchester United host Barcelona in the second leg of their Europa League knockout tie on Thursday evening, so Erik ten Hag’s team selection for Wembley will clearly be heavily influenced by what happens three days earlier.

Casemiro has completed the domestic suspension that was imposed in the wake of his red card against Crystal Palace, so the Brazilian midfielder will be available to face Newcastle.

Harry Maguire, Antony and Anthony Martial are nursing injury issues, and will continue to be assessed in the build-up to Sunday’s game.

Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek are definitely unavailable as they are nursing long-term injury problems.

Man Utd (probable, 4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred; Fernandes, Weghorst, Garnacho; Rashford.
