ELLIOT ANDERSON will make his first Premier League start for Newcastle United in this evening's home game with Liverpool.

Anderson comes into the Magpies' starting side to replace Joe Willock, who is absent after suffering a hamstring injury in last weekend's draw at Bournemouth.

The switch is Eddie Howe's alteration to the side that started at the Vitality Stadium seven days ago.

Allan Saint-Maximin retains his place in the starting side, which means Anthony Gordon remains on the substitutes' bench.

Callum Wilson is also on the bench, having missed last weekend's game because of his own hamstring problem.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp makes one change to his starting side, with Virgil van Dijk returning to the starting line-up in place of Joel Matip.
