HAYDEN COULSON has signed a new contract that commits his long-term future to Middlesbrough.
Coulson has penned a new deal that runs to the summer of 2025, with Boro also holding the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
The versatile left-footer is currently on loan at Aberdeen, and has made 24 appearances for the Scottish Premier League side so far this season.
The 24-year-old was handed his senior Boro debut by Jonathan Woodgate on the opening day of the 2019-20 season and scored his first goal in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
He was a prominent figure under Woodgate, often playing on the opposite flank to Djed Spence, but lost his place in the side under Neil Warnock and was sent out on loan in the summer by Chris Wilder.
He has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level, and was a key part of Boro's Under-18s' double-winning side in 2015.
Coulson will spend the rest of the campaign with Aberdeen, before returning to Rockliffe for the start of pre-season training in the summer, when he will attempt to secure a place in Michael Carrick's first-team squad.
