Here's how Sunderland's players rated in the 1-1 draw against Fulham in the FA Cup:
9 Patterson: Sensational performance. Commanded his box throughout and made a string of brilliant saves, particularly in the second half.
7 Hume: Part of an excellent defensive display. Up against fluid and flexible Fulham forward line, remained disciplined and switched on throughout.
8 Ballard: Brave, brilliant display. Threw his body in front of everything. Outstanding first half clearance off the line.
8 Batth: Like Ballard, terrific performance and his leadership qualities shone through.
7 Alese: Kept busy by Wilson but stuck to his task and got forward when he could. Booked late in first half before being replaced at the break.
7 Michut: Disciplined display in midfield. Tidy in possession.
7 Neil: Tough task against Fulham’s midfield, who move the ball so quickly, but showed his quality and played beyond his years. All-action.
8 Roberts: Fulham need no reminding of what Roberts is capable of and he showed his class back on the Craven Cottage pitch. Troubled home defence with movement and quick feet. Deserved a goal.
8 Amad: Continued his blistering form with another superb display. Created several chances for himself and linked up well with Roberts in particular.
8 Clarke: Fearless display. Took his goal superbly and was always a threat down the left. Ran himself into the ground.
6 Stewart: Nightmare sight for Sunderland when the star striker was stretchered off after 20 minutes.
