AFTER rejecting one offer, Rotherham United haven't yet received any follow-up bids from Middlesbrough for midfielder Dan Barlaser - but boss Matt Taylor admits he doesn't know how the rest of the window will play out.

Boro want Barlaser, who is out of contract at the end of the season, with reports last week claiming one bid had been rejected by the Millers.

Chiedozie Ogbene is another in-demand Rotherham player, with Swansea and Millwall among the interested clubs, and the Millers having rejected at least one bid earlier in the window.

And Taylor says Rotherham haven't received any follow-up offers for Barlaser or Ogbene.

"Not this week, no," said Taylor, as reported by the Yorkshire Post.

"The window is the window and you never know what is around the corner at any time. We are only halfway through it and trying to get our business done at our end and part of our business is keeping hold of our better players.

"We know there are certain situations where as the window goes on, as always, we have to make the best decision for ourselves and the football club."

Rotherham have been linked with a move for former Boro striker Jordan Hugill, but Taylor was giving nothing away.

On reports linking the Championship club with the Teessider and young Manchester United forward Charlie McNeill, Taylor said: "I am at a point now where I don't really want to talk about individual names.

"Everyone knows we are looking to sign forwards and centre forwards. The players mentioned are good players, but it would be wrong for me to speak any further."
