LYNDEN GOOCH returns to Sunderland's starting side for this afternoon's Championship game with Swansea City.
In total, Tony Mowbray has made five changes from the team that started last weekend's FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.
As expected, Anthony Patterson returns in goal, with Alex Bass dropping down to the bench.
Gooch is back in the side after missing the last three games through injury, and is expected to start at left-back with Trai Hume retaining his place on the opposite flank.
Luke O'Nien will partner Dan Ballard at centre-half, with Dan Neil and Corry Evans filling the central midfield roles.
Patrick Roberts, Amad Diallo and Jack Clarke get the nod in the attacking-midfield positions, with Ross Stewart leading the line up front.
Danny Batth is back on the bench after completing his recovery from injury earlier this week.
