Bruno Guimarães has achieved one dream of playing in the Premier League but now has eyes on another - helping Newcastle United into Europe.
The midfielder has enjoyed a dream first year in England, his dazzling form helping the Magpies climb away from safety last term and into the top three of the Premier League this season, deservedly earning himself a place in the Brazil World Cup squad.
The 25-year-old has been hugely impressed with Newcastle's "project" and, having experienced the Champions League during his time with Lyon, is desperate to return to the big stage with the Magpies.

He says: “I always knew that I could reach the national team and European football. I prepared a lot throughout my life for this to happen.
“Playing in the Premier League was a dream. It is a league that makes us always be at the highest level, both physically and mentally. I have landed on my feet, I look like a veteran despite having been there for less than a year.
“The club’s project is huge. We have goals to meet and trained professionals in all areas. The club is evolving as a whole. I made the right decision signing for Newcastle."
Asked whether he aims to return to the Champions League, he said: “Definitely. I was already able to play it with Lyon and it is a dream to be able to play it more times. We are working hard to return Newcastle to European competitions.”
Guimarães hailed Eddie Howe for his impact on Tyneside, the manager having superbly guided United from the bottom to the top of the Premier League.
“Eddie is fantastic, a deep football connoisseur," Guimarães told AS, as reported by Sport Witness.
"He gets the best out of each player. He and his entire coaching staff are the key to Newcastle’s current success."
The Newcastle man came off the bench against Switzerland on Monday to help Brazil secure their place in the last 16 of the World Cup with a group game to spare. He'll be hoping for more action when Brazil take on Cameroon in their final group game on Friday night.
