LIAM ROBERTS continues in goal after Chris Wilder named an unchanged Middlesbrough side for this evening's Championship home game with Cardiff City.
With Zack Steffen still unavailable, Roberts retains his place in the starting side for the fourth game in a row.
As expected, Paddy McNair has been passed fit after recovering from the knock that forced him off during last week's Tees-Wear derby win over Sunderland.
However, Darragh Lenihan and Chuba Akpom both remain unavailable.
Massimo Luongo, who joined Boro as a free agent earlier this week, is named amongst the substitutes with summer signing Matthew Hoppe dropping out of the matchday squad.
MIDDLESBROUGH (3-5-1-1): Roberts; McNair, Fry, Clarke; Jones, Crooks, Howson, Mowatt, Giles; McGree; Muniz.
Subs: Daniels, Smith, Dijksteel, Watmore, Forss, Luongo, Bola.
CARDIFF (4-3-3): Allsop; Romeo, Ng, Kipre, Simpson; O'Dowda, Wintle, Rinomhota; Ralls, Harris, Robinson.
Subs: Alnwick, Nelson, Nkounkou, Ojo, Sawyers, Philogene, Colwill.
