Middlesbrough host French side Marseille on Friday evening in their final pre-season friendly before the start of the new Championship campaign.

Here are all the details of the game - and how you can watch it.

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Friday's match is Boro's only pre-season encounter that will be staged at the Riverside Stadium.

The Teessiders have played in Portugal this summer, as well as tackling matches at Bishop Auckland, York City and Morecambe, but this is their only warm-up game on home soil.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Friday's game kicks off at 7pm, a slightly earlier time than usual for most evening games.

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON?

Friday's game has been deignated as a Family Fun Evening.

The FanZone outside the Riverside will be expanded for the game, and will feature children's entertainers, face-painters, live music, and additional food and drink offerings.

The FanZone will open at 4.30pm, and will be open again after the final whistle.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

The East and West Stands at the Riverside will be open for the game, and tickets are still available from Middlesbrough's official website.

Tickets for the game are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

Hospitality packages are also available from £40 per person on shared tables. The package includes a one-course meal and a match ticket. Further information is available by Emailing hospitality@mfc.co.uk or calling 01642 352782.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

No. The game is not being televised or streamed live on Middlesbrough's website or via any other streaming service.

However, a post-match highlights package will be available on Boro's official website.

There will also be a live blog during the game, here on The Northern Echo's website.

WHAT MIGHT MIDDLESBROUGH'S SIDE BE?

Having completed a loan move from Manchester City, Zack Steffen watched Boro's midweek win at Morecambe from the stands at the Mazuma Stadium.

The American is set to make his first start in a Boro shirt against Marseille, confirming his status as the club's new number one goalkeeper ahead of the start of the new season.

In the outfield positions, Chris Wilder is expected to name something close to his strongest starting XI for the final warm-up game.

With that in mind, and with the club's attempts to sign a new striker having so far come to nothing, it will be interesting to see who Wilder selects in attack eight days out from the opening game of the new Championship season against West Brom.

WHAT IS THE OPPOSITION LIKE?

Marseille are one of the strongest sides in France, and finished as runners-up in Ligue 1 last season, 15 points adrift of champions Paris St Germain. That secured automatic qualification for the group stages of the Champions league.

They kicked off their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 defeat to Championship side Norwich City last weekend, with their trip to Teesside preceding further friendlies against Real Betis and AC Milan.

Managed by former Croatia and Juventus midfielder Igor Tudor, familiar names in the Marseille squad include former Arsenal duo Saed Kolasinac and Matteo Guendouzi and ex-West Ham winger Dimitri Payet.

Colombian forward Luis Suarez - not that one - joined the club from Spanish side Granada earlier this week.
