NICK POPE will make his first start in a Newcastle United shirt as the Magpies take on 1860 Munich in a pre-season friendly in Austria.
Pope has been selected as the Magpies' starting goalkeeper following his summer move from Burnley, with Martin Dubravka on the bench.
Matt Targett also starts after he completed a permanent switch to St James' Park, but Newcastle's third summer signing, Sven Botman, is only on the bench.
Skipper Jamaal Lascelles partners Dan Burn at centre-half, while there is a start for Elliot Anderson, who is hoping to stake a claim in Newcastle's first-team squad for next season after spending last term on loan at Bristol Rovers.
