NEWCASTLE United have released their third kit for next season donning the green and white colours.
An official launch was made by the club this morning ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season and it features a white shirt with a green trim which bares a striking resemblance to the Saudi Arabian national team’s kit. The kit has been manufactured by Castore who become the club’s kit developer at the start of last season.

Photos of the third kit were leaked to the media back in May and was met with criticism relating to human rights abuses within the country with social media users accusing the club of sportwashing.
However, it’s suggested that the shirt design has been seen as an opportunity to increase revenue streams in Saudi Arabia and have some form of representation in the country.
Others suggest that the kit pays homage to previous kit worn by the club in the 1999/2000 season.
The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, fronted by Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan, lead the consortium of PCP Partners and Rueben Brothers and own around 80% of the club.
It follows a day after the club announced their sleeve sponsorship deal with Noon, the Middle East’s number one online shopping destination.
