The Northern Echo has opened up a book of condolence for people to leave their tributes to Boro-born striker Craig Farrell.
The former Carlisle United, York City and Whitby Town forward, who made over 300 appearances in club football, has died at the age of 39.
Farrell was a popular figure in the game who was described as a ‘likeable young man’ during his playing days. He was also capped at England Under-16’s level.
