SPENNYMOOR Town have confirmed their retained list following the conclusion of their National League North season.
Moors have let six players go including long serving duo Christopher Mason and Ryan Hall.
Mason has won the FA Vase with the club and captained them to promotion to sixth tier in 2017. After announcing his departure in the 2019/20 season when the season was cancelled due to Covid-19, he returned to the club in November last year.
Hall has spent the last five years at the club and featured in their National League North play-off final defeat to Chorley in 2019.
Former Darlington forward Stephen Thompson, ex Hartlepool winger Claudio Ofosu, Charlie Hindson and Scott McLean have also been released from the Brewery Field.
The club have exercised options on seven players including club captain James Curtis, Joe Tait and Jamie Chandler. Jude Oyibo, Mark Anderson, John Lufudu and Harry Flatters will also stay on at the Brewery Field.
Four players have been retained including the club’s all-time goalscorer Glen Taylor, long serving midfielder Rob Ramshaw. Jordan Preston and Jordan Thewlis have also been retained by management duo Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley.
