How did the players fare in Newcastle United's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace?
NEWCASTLE (4-3-3):
6 Dubravka: Made a couple of routine saves from Edouard, but was never seriously tested despite Palace pressing in the second half
8 Krafth: Did extremely well considering he was up against the dangerous Zaha – won all his crucial tackles
8 Schar: Denied the Palace forwards space in the 18-yard box, and won every challenge that was asked of him
8 Burn: Another dominant performance from the centre-half, who towered above his opponents as he won a series of headers
8 Targett: The left-back has been excellent ever since he arrived on Tyneside – and this was another brilliant defensive performance
7 Guimaraes: Shone at the heart of midfield and produced an excellent through ball to set up Almiron’s goal
7 Shelvey: Kept Newcastle moving forward with some astute passing and was always in the right place to shut down Palace’s midfielders
7 Joelinton: Produced another fine midfield display as he covered a lot of ground in both halves of the field
8 ALMIRON: Capped an excellent all-round display with a magnificent first-half goal that came courtesy of a curled finish into the corner
6 Wood: Didn’t really threaten the Palace goal, but worked away tirelessly and held up the ball well with his back to goal
6 Saint-Maximin: Another night when things didn’t quite come off, although he still made a couple of devastating breaks forward
