SPENNYMOOR Town have completed the signing of Jude Oyibo, the first arrival at the club for management duo Antony Johnson and Bernard Morley.
Oyibo, formerly of Chester, has linked up with his former managers at the Brewery Field following the mutual termination of his contract, which was announced yesterday.
He made 17 appearances for the club and scored one goal which came against Moors earlier this season in a 4-2 defeat.
Oyibo said: “Having worked under the two managers here at Chester I knew this would be a good move for me and my career moving forward.
“The squad is full of talented and experienced players at this level and I know the ambitions of the club are high both on and off the pitch.
“I am a direct and skilful player and I like to entertain the crowd if I can. The aim is to help the team achieve their targets and get plenty of games under my belt.”
Morley said: “Jude offers us something we don’t currently have in the squad. He is direct, skilful and likes to take on his man.
“We have obviously worked with Jude during our time at Chester and feel he can add something to the crop of players we currently have at our disposal.
“He scored a great goal against Spennymoor earlier in the season and that showcased what he could do. He is a crowd pleaser and I’m sure the fans will enjoy watching him.”
