Sunderland recall Anthony Patterson from Notts County
SUNDERLAND have recalled Anthony Patterson from his loan at Notts County amid an injury problem to one of their goalkeepers.
Lee Burge has picked up a knock in training effectively ruling him out of the weekend’s game against Ipswich Town.
As a result, Patterson returned from Meadow Lane to link up with the squad and took part in training this morning.
The 21-year-old made 10 appearances in his time at the National League club keeping three clean sheets. He’s featured six times for the Black Cats first team since breaking through the academy.
