DARLINGTON'S planned pre-season game at Newton Aycliffe tomorrow evening has been postponed because of Covid.
Quakers' pre-season preparations have been badly affected by the number of players currently isolating due to positive tests or because they have been identified as close contacts of people who have tested positive.
Alun Armstrong's side are due to return to action with a game at Northallerton Town next Tuesday, although it remains to be seen whether that match can go ahead.
Spennymoor Town have also had to call off their planned weekend game against League Two side Barrow.
Moors were due to face Barrow on Saturday afternoon, but their opponents have requested a postponement as the number of injuries in their squad means they cannot fulfil the fixture.
Spennymoor's next pre-season game is due to be a home match against Hartlepool on Tuesday night.
