GARETH SOUTHGATE has switched formations to play with three centre-halves for England's Euro 2020 last-16 game with Germany.
The England boss has decided to mirror Germany's wing-back system, despite having fielded a flat back four for all of his side's group matches.
Kyle Walker will move across to centre-half, playing alongside Harry Maguire and John Stones.
Kieran Trippier and Luke Shaw will fill the wing-back berths, with Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips retaining their places at the heart of midfield.
With Bukayo Saka getting the nod to partner Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane in the foreard positions, England will line up without Mason Mount, Phil Foden or Jack Grealish in their starting side.
ENGLAND (3-4-3): Pickford; Walker, Maguire, Stones; Trippier, Rice, Phillips, Shaw; Sterling, Kane, Saka.
GERMANY (3-4-3): Neuer; Ginter, Hummels, Rudiger; Kimmich, Goretzka, Kroos, Gosens; Werner, Muller, Havertz.
