THIS summer's Euro 2020 football tournament has been postponed by one year until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
UEFA have been holding an emergency video conference involving major stakeholders this morning.
And while talks remain ongoing, the Norwegian FA have annnounced that it has been decided that the tournament will now take place from 11 June to 11 July next year.
A formal announcement from UEFA officials is expected shortly.
This summer's tournament was due to take place from 12 June-12 July at 12 venues across Europe including Wembley, which was due to host all of England's group games and the semi-finals and final.
The postponement should make it easier for domestic leagues to be played for a conclusion later this summer if the coronavirus situation improves sufficiently for matches to resume.
