CALLUM TARREN’S US Open debut will start late on Thursday night after he was handed a late draw at Pebble Beach.
The 28-year-old, from Darlington, County Durham, is in the fourth last group due to tee off at 10.31pm (UK time) in California alongside Frenchman Matthieu Pavon and American amateur Chandler Eaton.
That trio will be four groups behind former US Open champions Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods and Justin Rose. Tarren will then start his second round at 4.46pm on the Friday with the same group of players.
Pavon finished tied 25th in last year's US Open after qualifying like Tarren did through the sectional route. The Toulouse golfer was tied tenth at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
Georgia state's Eaton is still studying and qualified for Pebble Beach at one of the qualifiers earlier this week.
