NEWCASTLE midfielder Joey Barton will continue his comeback from injury when he makes his second appearance for the club's reserves this evening.
Barton has been named in the starting line-up for the second-string clash with Wigan at Kingston Park after playing 45 minutes for Lee Clark's side against Manchester City last week.
Magpies manager Sam Allardyce last week ruled the 25-year-old out of first-team action until Tottenham's visit to St James Park on October 22, and hopes Barton will have played three or four reserve games by then.
Barton, a £5.8m summer signing from Manchester City, fractured a metatarsal in a pre-season friendly at Carlisle and is yet to make his first-team debut.
