The two sides involved in the North Riding Senior Cup both won 3-2 after extra time.
New Marske visited Grangetown Boys Club where they were coasting with strikes from Graham Solomon (pen) and Josh Mitchell before the home side took the tie into additional time with two goals inside six minutes midway through the second period.
In extra time, New Marske clinched victory as Michael Makin crossed and his twin brother Sean netted.
After trailing to a Christian Maloney effort at home to Whinney Banks, Teesside Athletic levelled through Andy Porritt. Daniel Lockwood restored the advantage to the visitors early in extra time but Porritt completed a hat-trick to ease Athletic into the next round.

Easington Colliery shaded Harton and Westoe with an only goal scored by Christopher Tarn after 19 minutes and Ryhope CW won their place in the second round defeating neighbours Silksworth Community.
Ross Taylor struck for the home side and after an own goal by Mel Sutherland restored parity, Mark Brown netted the winner eight minutes from the end of extra time.
Whitehaven are equal on points with leaders New Marske following a 3-1 victory against Boldon CA. David Dustin (2) and Darren Donald netted for the Cumbrians.
Annfield Plain are third despite being held to a draw by Ashbrooke Belford House. Ian Laidler and Kelvin Armstrong twice had the Plain in front only for John Cogger and Grant Bulmer to hit back.
Adam Blenkinsop (2) and David Pickering scored during the first half for Willington and although Kevin Bush reduced the deficit, Coxhoe Athletic failed to make further inroads.
Michael Armstrong scored both Cleadon SC's goals in the victory over Wolviston while Andy Wilkinson and Craig Armstrong, with an 89th-minute effort, earned Jarrow the points at home to Cleator Moor Celtic whose reply was credited to Gareth Evans.
