NEWCASTLE UNITED (3-4-2-1):

5 Dubravka: Almost caught out late on by Mitrovic, even if he didn’t have too much else to do;

4 Schar: A poor display from start to finish even if he could have scored with a header over the bar

4 Lascelles: Disappointing in the middle of a three but redeemed himself with a fantastic tackle on Kamara late on

5 Dummett: Returned to the side as part of three at the back and found it harder than he has done

5 Manquillo: Arguably the pick of the defenders but that wasn’t saying too much;

6 Diame: Tried to make a few things happen in the middle but could have done with doing more

6 Ki: Played a few nice crossfield balls without seriously getting Newcastle in behind

5 Ritchie: Lively enough and sent over some decent deliveries without getting anywhere;

4 Perez: Unable to unlock the visiting defence with his passes or runs

6 Atsu: Attempted to make things happen without actually making things happen;

5 Rondon: Never looked like testing the keeper even if he put himself about in the final third

Subs:

Kenedy (for Atsu 71)

Manquillo (for Yedlin 84)

(not used): Woodman (gk), Fernandez, Hayden, Muto, Joselu.

FULHAM (3-4-2-1): Rico 6; Odoi 7, MAWSON 7, Ream 7; Christie 6, Seri 6, Chambers 5, Bryan 6; Cairney 7 (Ayite 81), Schurrle 5 (Kamara 76); Mitrovic 6. Subs (not used): Bettinelli, Le Marchand, McDonald, Johansen, Vietto.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Alfie Mawson – did a good job in keeping hold of Rondon for the majority of the game.
