IAN Moore was forced out of Hartlepool United's home defeat to Walsall after being involved in a car crash on Friday.
After two goals in his previous display at Orient, the striker would have lined-up at Victoria Park on Saturday alongside Richard Barker.
However, he was sidelined with a neck injury and boss Danny Wilson said: "Ian had a little bump in his car on Friday, where a van went into the back of him. He's OK, he's fine but has a little bit of a neck problem.
"I hope he's fine for the Carlisle game on Tuesday and we will have a look at him, but he is a little bit sore and stiff.''
Keeper Jan Budtz again showed safe hands and he impressed against Walsall, but he was left to rue a missed opportunity after seeing his side lose.
"We are very frustrated, the lads just didn't perform,'' he admitted.
"We just seemed a gear behind and didn't play as we did in the win at Leyton Orient last week.
"All of the lads were hanging their heads in the dressing room and knew they just didn't perform.
"That is what you get if you are not switched on for 90 minutes, they nicked the goal and all credit to them.
"We didn't pass the ball well at all, we were really slow and didn't work for each other - but there is a new game on Tuesday and we can't cry too much.
"It's another game and we need to get our heads up and win that one.
"I think we will definitely get three points and definitely play better than this."
And Budtz admitted: "We got sucked into playing the long ball game that they were playing and their two strikers must have sore heads.
"From the first minute it was just like a Sunday league game and I don't know why.
"I don't know if the goal was offside, we should have stopped the goal happening further up the pitch anyway.
"You can talk about offside but it shouldn't have got as far as me in the first place."
* Lee Bullock has returned to Pools after a month on loan at Mansfield, who are bottom of League Two.
