The New Marske bandwaggon rolls on but it just might have been a different result at Silksworth Community on Saturday had Mel Sutherland not being sent off for a professional foul. New Marske broke the deadlock from the resultant free-kick which Christain Kamara fired into the net via a post.
Two goals within a minute from Alex Anderson settled the outcome and a fourth was added when Glen Smith struck.
Annfield Plain comfortably saw off Windscale. John Kemp put them in front and 15 minutes from the end Scott Watson hit the decisive second goal.
Hartlepool are up to third following victory over Harton and Westoe. Chris Archer gave them an early advantage before Brian Ross produced a clinical finish from 20 yards just after the hour.
Easington Colliery and Guisborough Black Swan were involved in an 11 goals thriller which the hosts won 7-4. Tom Orchard (3), Paul Elliott, Darren Major, Chris Tarn and Chris Wallace netted for the Colliers with Chris Lunn, Michael McGowan and David Campbell (2) replying for Black Swan.
Ryhope CW defeated Willington by the odd goal in seven. Mark Davison was their star player rifling a hat-trick with Peter Benson the other marksman. Andrew Howard, Anthony Bussey and Adam Blenkinsop netted for the visitors.
Coxhoe Athletic went down 4-1 to Cleadon SC with Derek Newton (2), James Roberts and Michael Armstrong found the net. Stephen Carruthers had equalised for Coxhoe.
East Durham United lost 6-1 at Whitehaven.
An only goal by Jay Telford proved sufficient for Jarrow at Teesside Athletic and Ashbrooke Belford House won 3-2 at Cleator Moor Celtic.
