MIDDLESBROUGH winger Adam Johnson has joined Championship side Watford on a three-month loan.
The 20-year-old, who was recently called up to the England Under-21 squad, has joined the Vicarage Road club to gain first-team experience as he is currently behind Stewart Downing in the Riverside pecking order.
Sunderland-born Johnson has made 18 starts and 20 substitute appearances for Boro since making his debut at Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Cup.
