DURHAM'S Phil Mustard has been nominated for Metro newspaper's County Cricketer of the Month award for August.
The 24-year-old wicketkeeper is in a shortlist of five alongside Yorkshire's Adil Rashid, Surrey's Scott Newman, Kent off-spinner James Tredwell and Gloucestershire bowler Steve Kirby.
The award, in partnership with the Sky Sports' coaching scheme, excludes Test players and those nominated must be England qualified.
Performances in the County Championship, Friends Provident Trophy, Pro40 League and Twenty20 Cup are all taken into account and an overall winner will be announced at the end of the season.
Sky Sports analyst Nick Knight said: "Phil has been strong in the Pro40 and his performance in the Friends Provident Trophy final saw Shane Warne compare him to Adam Gilchrist.
"I know what he means in terms of Phil's style at the crease. But his glovework is the most important thing."
The winner will be decided through an online poll, so to vote for Mustard Durham fans should go to www.metro.co.uk/sport.
Durham coach Geoff Cook has named a 12-man squad to contest the two NatWest Pro40 games at Riverside tomorrow and Monday.
He has kept faith with the squad which lost by 31 runs to Somerset at Taunton on Thursday, as the Dynamos aim to get their promotion push back on track following two successive defeats in the competition.
Cook said: "This division is extremely tight and if we win both these games we will be in with a fighting chance of promotion."
Tomorrow's game against Leicestershire Foxes is Paul Collingwood's benefit game, with a series of activities taking place to raise money for the England one-day captain.
For fans wishing to take pictures of the Friends Provident Trophy, it will be on display in the media centre reception area.
