Sevilla full-back Daniel Alves is desperate for his future to be resolved and has spoken of his ''enthusiasm'' for a move to Real Madrid after Chelsea had a bid rejected last week.
Alves has been linked with a move away from the Sanchez Pizjuan for over a year, amid speculation that he was bound for England.
The dynamic right-sided Brazil international looked to be heading for Stamford Bridge last week until it emerged the clubs had yet to agree a fee.
Chelsea were expected to increase their offer last week after the Spanish club rejected an initial reported bid of £21.5million but there have been no developments.
After Sunday's Spanish Super Cup win over Real Madrid, Alves admitted he is no closer to learning his fate with less than a week to go until the new La Liga season kicks off.
''I am not suffering as a result of this confusion and whilst I am with Sevilla I will act professionally, however I am hopeful for some closure on this subject.
''Any player would be enthusiastic about playing for Real Madrid. Any player who would deny wanting to play for Real Madrid would be a liar."
