Walsall have announced that 16-year-old apprentice Anton Reid died during a training session yesterday morning.
The striker collapsed during a training session at the University of Aston, but no details of a cause of death have yet been made public.
Reid came through the League One club's centre of excellence and had recently began training with the youth team for the first time. A club statement said: ''Players and staff have been left heartbroken by this terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Anton's parents, family and friends .''
