DESPITE earning Middlesbrough their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday, midfielder Lee Cattermole was still far from happy with his contribution at Craven Cottage.
The 19-year-old revealed his frustration at having to play right midfield, as opposed to his much-favoured central position.
It is not a role the Stockton-born player is happy about, and he made no secret of his feelings at the weekend.
He said: "I'm not a right midfielder and I don't want to be to be honest. If the gaffer asks me to play there then I will play there and do a job.
"I'm not going to say I had a good game because I didn't. But I scored a goal and that proved crucial so I have to be happy with that.
"The win was more important than me scoring and I thought it was a great team effort today. I think we deserved a bit of luck and it was nice to get on the score sheet too.
"I scored a similar goal down at Charlton last season and when you put them low into the corners it's difficult for the keepers to get to them."
Cattermole's 88th minute match-winner came after Mido cancelled out Brian McBride's early opener.
Boro's £6m recruit from Tottenham impressed on his debut before limping off in the second half with an ankle injury.
The Egyptian striker will be fit to face Newcastle United this weekend and Cattermole said: "It was nice for Mido to score on his debut because he has shown great character and attitude with the lads.
"He's been at some big clubs and has a lot of experience. He knows what it takes to win and that can only be a good thing for us."
Cattermole was also relieved in the knowledge that the Teessiders will be going into the weekend's Tees-Tyne derby with a win under their belt.
"It's good to get some points on the board and it gives everyone a massive lift and belief for the Newcastle game.
"They're massive games, especially for the fans and it's one game you don't want to lose.
"But we can go into the game in a positive mood after Fulham and hopefully we can come away with the points.
"We finished above them last year and hopefully we can do the same this year. They've brought in some quality players, but so have we, so it should be a great game."
