England will start a Test match on a Wednesday for the first time next summer as they bid to accommodate a September getaway for the ICC Champions Trophy.
New Zealand and South Africa tour next year, and the third Test against the Proteas begins on Wednesday, July 30.
Chester-le-Street misses out on a Test match, instead being awarded a one-day international against the Black Caps on June 15 next year, and a one-off Twenty20 international against South Africa on August 20, 2008.
Headingley Carnegie will stage the second npower Test between England and South Africa, July 18-22, and the first NatWest Series one-day international between the two countries under floodlights on August 22.
* Durham County Cricket Club is urging anyone with a few hours free between Friday 15 and Sunday June 17 to help give visitors to Chester-le-Street for England's npower Test Match against the West Indies the best possible welcome. The Welcome Project will guide visitors from Chester-le-Street train station and town centre to the Riverside. Key times are 9am to 11.30am and 5pm to 7pm.
