JAKE HYDE’S stoppage-time equaliser earned York City a point from a 1-1 draw at in-form Plymouth Argyle.
The Minstermen striker netted his fifth goal of the season in the fourth minute of added-on time to deny the hosts an eighth successive home win.
York had earlier got off to the worst possible start when Bobby Reid received the ball back from a right-wing corner that had been won in the air by former Hartlepool defender Peter Hartley.
Reid cut inside Luke Summerfield, and his third-minute strike deflected off Femi Ilesanmi and floated over a helpless Alex Cisak.
Summerfield dragged a shot wide in the second half, but York grabbed a dramatic late equaliser when Diego De Girolamo retrieved the ball from a half-cleared free-kick.
His low cross found Hyde, who followed up to head home after his initial close-range shot had been saved by Luke McCormick.
York: Cisak, McCoy, Lowe (McCombe 73), Zubar, Ilesanmi, Carson (De Girolamo 61), Penn, Summerfield, Coulson, Hyde, Fletcher (Morris 77).
Subs (not used): Ingham, Halliday, Montrose, Meikle.
