Spennymoor Town drew 1-1 at Farsley in the Evo-Stik First Division North on Tuesday thanks to a goal by substitute Gavin Cogdon.
He came off the bench in the second half with Moors 1-0 down, and his leveller stretched the team's unbeaten run to five league and cup matches.
Farsley had the better of the early chances, opening the scoring on 32 minutes through Adam Priestley, who just a fortnight ago was playing for Gibraltar against Germany. He fired into the bottom corner with goalkeeper Adam McHugh helpless.
Spennymoor manager Jason Ainsley made two substitutions on the resumption, and it was Michael Roberts’ replacement, Cogdon, who got the equaliser on 66 minutes when Nathan Fisher flicked a through ball on for him to fire home.
Cogdon’s goal increased the tempo of the game and he nearly set up a second for John McReady, but the midfielder blazed over, and then Cogdon beat a defender and fired into the side-netting.
Spennymoor Town: McHugh, Griffiths, Mason, Dodds, Tait, Capper, Stephenson (McReady 45), Henry, Fisher, Roberts (Cogdon 45), Peacock (Johnson 90). Subs (not used): Groves, Green
