YORKSHIRE have started their second innings against Somerset in fine fashion during the third afternoon at Headingley by reaching 102-1 at tea.
Joe Root’s side conceded a first-innings lead of 184, although they have significantly eaten into that thanks in the main to Adam Lyth’s 41 not out and Gary Ballance’s unbeaten 31.
Somerset were bowled out for 437 just after lunch. Adil Rashid took the last four wickets either side of lunch for the concession of five runs in 14 balls.
Alex Lees was the only Yorkshire wicket to fall on 44, caught behind off Peter Trego.
