YORKSHIRE have lost Andrew Gale and Alex Lees this morning on their way to a lunchtime score of 211-4 from 53 overs against Warwickshire on day two at Edgbaston.
In reply to 228, the White Rose will resume this afternoon only 17 in arrears as they bid of their fourth LV= County Championship win of the season.
Thirty runs came from the first 19 balls this morning, including seven boundaries, as Gale and Lees made a racing start from 82-2.
But Gale fell for 49 when a skied top-edge off a pull at Chris Wright was caught behind by Tim Ambrose, leaving the score at 112-3 in the 29th. Lees (64) brought up his fifty off 75 balls before he fell to a more regulation catch behind off Chris Woakes with the score on 150.
Jonny Bairstow and Aaron Finch have since shared 61 unbroken for the fifth wicket. Bairstow, now on 49 not out, was dropped at second slip two balls after the Lees dismissal. Finch will resume on 34. Both have hit a six in their innings.
