SUNDERLAND LADIES will stage a World Cup fun day when their Super League programme resumes with a home game against Yeovil Ladies a week on Saturday.
The Lady Black Cats, who have enjoyed a perfect start to their maiden WSL 2 season, winning all five of their opening matches, entertain The Glovers on Saturday, June 28 (noon) at the Hetton Centre.
Prior to kick-off, the club will stage a skills session on the pitch from 9.30am for youngsters aged between five and 11, with SAFC Foundation coaches organising a series of fun games and drills.
Youngsters can also take part in a free banner making competition, to make a sign supporting the SAFC Ladies, from 10.30am, with the winner being drawn at half-time. In the run up to kick-off, fans can also enjoy face painting, cheerleaders and ice cream at the ground, with SAFC mascots Samson and Delilah also in attendance.
To book a place on the SAFC skills session (£3 per child including match ticket) call 0191 551 5191 or email caroline.ames@safc.com. Tickets for the game are priced at £2 for SAFC season card holders, £4 for non-season card holding adults and £1 for under 18s and over 65s.
