A YOUNG Middlesbrough striker Middlesbrough has swapped the Riverside for Romania.
Wilson Kneeshaw, 19, has signed a two-year contract with ACS Poli Timisoara after being told he could leave Boro.
The Darlington-born forward, whose brother Jackson plays golf in the United States, is now looking forward to the challenge.
Kneeshaw said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me. I just want to play football and see how far I can go with my career.
“My dream is to play at the highest level possible and coming back to play in the (English) Premier League one day would be great.
“Timisoara is a beautiful city with lots of culture, my new team mates have welcomed me to the set-up and I am looking forward to working with the coach.
“I’m just so excited by this challenge and am looking forward to this chapter of my life and career.”
