If Carlsberg did cup finals...
Keith Graydon couldn't resist referring to the FA Vase's sponsors' well-worn slogan after becoming Spennymoor Town's Wembley match-winner on Saturday.
It was the Irishman's only goal of Moors' Vase run but he couldn't have timed the strike, or the connection with the ball, any better.
He scored against Tunbridge Wells with ten minutes to go, slamming home from 12 yards after receiving a pass from Andrew Stephenson.
"When it dropped I was thinking that there's nothing going to stop me from putting it in the net," said the midfielder, who was man of the match, having also teed up Gavin Cogdon's opener.
"I couldn't have connected with it any better, it was a clean strike, and I honestly didn't know what to do. I was in shock.
"Nine times out of ten I'd have hit it over, but I think it was one of those Carlsberg days and it summed today up for us."
The FA Vase is the most prestigious cup competition in the country at Step 5, though Graydon wants to add more silverware to his collection.
Moors are looking forward to the Durham Challenge Cup final on Wednesday against Bishop Auckland, as well as the Northern League Cup final versus Newcastle Benfield on May 18.
Having missed out on the league to Darlington, Moors intend to win both finals and also hope to close the gap on Quakers, starting this morning at Shildon (11am).
"We want to win every game," said Graydon. "The league was a bit of a disappointing for us, but Darlington have been fantastic for the league with their fan base and the run they've been on.
"Darlington ran away with the league a little bit, but we can still close the gap and make it respectable.
"We've had a good squad now for two or three years, but in the Vase we had underachieved. This year we started off at Bridlington, won 5-1 and steamrollered everything that came ahead of us.
"We ended up being odds-on favourites but we hadn't even reached the quarter-finals, so it was quite strange.
"We've already won the Cleator Cup at the start of the season, we've got two more finals and we want to win them both to go out with a bang."
