WORDINESS has been in tremendous form since the turn of the year and has an excellent opportunity to bag a fourth consecutive victory at Lingfield.

The son of Dansili has raised his game considerably since being stepped up to distances of around a mile and a half, and absolutely bolted up when winning for the first time at Wolverhampton in early February.

He has since switched from the care of Seamus Durack to Brendan Powell and his progress has continued, securing further successes back at Wolverhampton and, most recently, here at Lingfield.

His latest triumph was particularly striking, as, having forced the pace on previous occasions, he was ridden far more patiently by the excellent Robert Tart and it led to him being even more impressive.

He is clearly not as one dimensional as might have been thought in the past and although an 8lb hike in the weights undoubtedly makes life tougher, it should not be enough to stop him taking gold again in the Orpheus Centre Handicap.

Desert Donkey can claim a first career win in the Lingfield Park Supports Young Epilepsy Handicap.

Trainer Andrew Balding has his team in excellent nick at this early stage of the year and Desert Donkey looked a winner waiting to happen when beaten just a short head over this course and distance in the middle of February.
