SO VJ Connor decides to “forsake the tumbleweed-strewn streets of Bishop Auckland and head for Darlington with its wonderful covered market”
(HAS, Oct 13).
In all my 49 years I have never seen a tumbleweed blow down any street in our wonderful town but I have heard so much suck and blow from airheads who have nothing better to do with their lives than write pointless letters to The Northern Echo slagging Bishop Auckland off that my ears are bleeding.
The Bishop Auckland area is a great place to live and work. You can either love us or leave us. I recommend the Arriva bus to Darlington, from £2.50, one way.
Charlie Kay, Bishop Auckland.
