I READ the complaint about motorcyclists (HAS, Oct 1) with growing anxiety.
While attempting to criticise the actions of a motorcyclist, it is quite apparent that the anonymous writer was, in fact, admitting to leave a junction into the path of a motorcycle.
I can think of no other reason why they should have requested that their details be kept secret.
Unsurprsingly, the writer went on to say how he feared for his own life, without a moments thought for the life of the rider that his inattention and carelessness had put in danger.
Of course, just as with all forms of road user, not all motorcyclists are blameless.
However, the words of “name and address supplied”
exemplifies the thoughtless attitude of far too many toward those utilising more vulnerable forms of road transport.
