AT the end of August, I contacted the Durham County Council highways action line via the web regarding a flooded drain in Snaisgill Road, Middleton-in-Teesdale.
Two days later I again contacted the line, but on neither occasion did I get an acknowledgement.
I thought that I would write to the council’s chief executive, George Garlick, who said that he had passed the issues on to Terry Collins, the corporate director of neighbourhood services.
I received a letter from B Buckley, strategic highways manager, stating he had asked the revenue manager to investigate these issues and respond. I have had no further response.
If the problem is not sorted before the really bad weather then matters will only become several times worse.
John Miller, Middleton-in-Teesdale.
