THERE are 14 areas of green belt land in England.

Surely brown belt land should be used to build houses in cities, towns and rural areas?

There are reportedly more than 300,000 empty houses in England and Wales. Who owns all these empty properties and what can the Government do to bring them back into occupancy?

Wouldn’t it be wise if we concentrated restructuring and redeveloping areas on brown belt land, such as empty industrial sites untouched for years, so that they could be turned into new homes?

We need redevelopment infrastructure, houses and apartments for people and families where jobs are available and schools are close by.

One thing I fear is that once we lose these beautiful areas to developers we will never be able to get them back again.

We should redevelop and improve the empty houses that already exist on brown belt land.
